We believe that visitors are important to the healing process, and we encourage family and friends to visit.  With the exception of the Intensive Care Units, all patients who wish to may see visitors and receive calls.  The direct phone number to the patient’s room is posted on the patient’s phone or the receptionist may transfer your call.

Finding Your Patient

You can find your patient’s room number and phone number by asking at the Information Desk in the hospital’s main entrance lobby or by calling 473-5101.   After hours, the operator can help at 924-6650.  If you enter through another entrance, feel free to ask for directions from any staff member.  All hospital staff wear name tags, so they are easy to identify.

Visiting Hours

  • Standard visiting hours are from noon to 8 p.m. daily, but may vary depending on the patient’s condition.  We are quite flexible, but check with the patient’s nursing staff regarding additional visiting times.
  • Intensive Care Units allow immediate family members or significant others to visit 24 hours a day with the exception of "change of shift report", which occurs from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and during additional medical procedures. These visits are often limited in length due to patient’s condition.
  • In the interest of security, all visitors must enter through the Emergency Department after 8:00 p.m.   The Outpatient Entrance closes at 5:00 p.m.
Some Guidelines for Your Visit

  • If the patient’s door is closed, check with our staff before entering.  Your patient may be getting some much-needed sleep or you may need to wear a mask or gloves as a result of the patient’s condition.
  • Please keep noise to a minimum by limiting the number of visitors to two. We ask that visitors respect patient privacy and step out of the room when care is given.
  • We ask that family and friends not visit if they are ill with an infectious disease such as a cold or flu.
  • A responsible adult must supervise visiting children at all times.
  • No animals are permitted in the hospital, with the exception of seeing-eye dogs, service animals and pet therapy dogs.
