Many people associate midwives
only with childbirth in which they provide care before,
during and after normal deliveries. The CNMs are
present throughout the entire labor and are experts at
childbirth as well as detecting any problems that may
arise. Midwives
work closely with obstetricians and in the event of complications,
an obstetrician would step in to help if needed.
But nurse midwives have a role much
broader than childbirth. They provide healthcare
for women throughout their lives. Here are some of
our services:
- Free pregnancy testing
- Contraceptive care
- Preconception counseling
- Family Planning
- Menopausal management
- Management of common health illness
- Infection screening and treatment of
our clients and their partners
- Well woman and annual gynecological
examinations
- Prenatal, labor, delivery and postpartum
care
- Presence throughout labor
- Breastfeeding education
- Breast and Cervical Program
Our care is family-focused and individualized,
preventive, satisfying and safe. We advocate for nonintervention
and the enhancement of the normal. We take the
time to listen, because you know what’s best for
you. |
