Did you know?
Herbal supplements can affect your surgery?  The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) recommends stopping supplements at least two weeks before surgery.
Valley Hospital and Medical Center is committed to providing the best equipment, staff and support services needed to deliver excellent surgical care.  Both inpatient and outpatient surgery are available.

Our Preassessment Clinic helps patients know what to expect before and after surgery. Our staff collect needed information to avoid delays on the day of surgery. VHMC provides education and classes regarding aftercare.

A friend or family member can generally stay with you up until surgery, be updated by your surgeon (if you choose) and meet you afterwards.  It often helps to have an additional person around when receiving directions and instructions.
