One in two
women and one in eight men over age 50
will have an osteoporosis related fracture
in their lifetime (National Osteoporosis
Foundation)
•
About 7 million bones
will be broken this year in the U.S.
(American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons)
Orthopedic care has
changed considerably over the years. A painful
hip joint or knuckle can be replaced, restoring mobility. A
spine can be given more support, relieving pressure and
pain through surgery or kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty. Osteoporosis
can be reversed to a certain degree with medication and
movement.
We are pleased to offer a full range of treatment for
people with musculoskeletal disease.
Bone Fracture
Bone fracture is the most common orthopedic
problem. For those bone fractures that cannot be
remedied in our Emergency Department (as many can), we
have specially trained staff to perform surgery, provide
nursing care, get you back on your feet and provide needed
therapy.
Joint Replacement
Almost any joint can be replaced—hips, knees, toes,
fingers, elbows, and shoulders. These procedures
can make a tremendous difference in a person’s life by
reducing or eliminating pain and restoring ease of movement.
