Did you know?

According to the National Women's Health Resource Center, roughly half of all  hysterectomies are done to treat two conditions: endometriosis or fibroids or non-malignant growth

The first few weeks are a time when it's especially easy for the fetus to be impacted by drugs, alcohol, smoking and lack of nutrients.

The obstetrics/nursery units at Valley Hospital and Medical Center were newly remodeled in 2005.  Our services are family-focused and known for their personal care.  You will be admitted to a comfortable room to deliver and recover.  We encourage you to have your baby room in, but a full nursery is available if that is a better option for you.  Family members are encouraged to be with you and your new baby.  Our lactation specialists are available for those who want to breastfeed.  While you’re here, be sure to try our “Room Service” and guest meals and use restaurant-style menus to “eat what you want, when you want it.”
