Cardiac Services provides diagnostic, treatment and surgical services to patients with diseases or disorders of the heart and vascular system.

	At Valley Hospital and Medical Center, we know that not all heart cases are textbook. The challenges of managing complex heart failure, arrhythmia and recurring coronary artery disease require advanced knowledge and expertise that are difficult to maintain. That is why we have gathered together highly-qualified specialists in all aspects of cardiac care to offer you expert consultation and patient evaluation, as well as the most advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques.

Emergency Treatment

	When heart problems occur, minutes can mean the difference between life and death. The Emergency Department at Valley Hospital is one of the busiest in Spokane and is fully prepared for cardiac emergencies. A cardiologist is available around the clock. And the department is staffed 24 hours a day by board certified physicians and registered nurses certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Critical Care

	Patients who need continuous monitoring and close observation are cared for in our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. This unit is staffed by highly trained and experienced registered nurses and other members of the healthcare team.
